2014-2015 Mentor Savannah Ledgerwood

Savannah Ledgerwood

Greetings and salutations! My name is Savannah and I have the privilege of serving as Director of UW Leaders for the 2014-2015 program. I’m a senior studying psychology (yes, that means I’m able to read minds) with a minor in diversity. I have a year of undergraduate research under my belt as well as involvement in several different activities on campus. I’ve been working at the front desk of the Office of Admissions since my first year and I’m also a campus tour guide. I have been a FIG Leader for the past three years as well as an orientation leader for First Year Programs last summer. I also completed the Husky Leadership Certificate during my time at UW. I came into UW Leaders my sophomore year and fell in love with the community-building aspect of the program. I returned as a mentor the following year, and somehow, they’re trusting me with keys and budgets to put on a spectacular program! In my spare time you can find me gorging myself with Indian food, meditating in fields of sweet, sweet lavender, watching 90s cult-TV shows (i.e. X-Files and Twin Peaks) and sipping Reeds ginger ale from Trader Joes while gently swaying my head to 80s music.  I’m hyped up on mentorship and icebreakers – let’s get this party started!
