Leadership Practice: For my leadership practice I would love to work in collaboration with the UW Student Farm to make awareness and access to healthy foods on campus more prevalent among the student body. Food and diet choices are such a major part of our everyday lives, yet so little thought goes into questioning where our food originated from. The journey of planting a seed and following it throughout its growth to the point where it becomes something you can actually eat is one of the most rewarding (and delicious) experiences that I feel every person should encounter at least once in their lives. Through my leadership practice, I aim to shed a new light on the power of growing fresh foods and impact the campus by making students think twice about what they put on their plates.
