Leadership Practice: Last year, I started a chapter of Global HEED (Health, Education, and Economic Development) at UW. We raise money for our partner clinic in Guatemala (Calhuitz Village), host global health awareness events on campus, and hold workshop sessions for anyone who is interested in current global health issues. For my leadership practice, I hope to expand Global HEED’s presence on campus and make sure that everyone who has gotten involved is gaining the skills they need to be successful in the field of global health.
