Fun Fact: Throughout this program, my definition of a leader has changed. I’ve realized that being a leader doesn’t always mean being the loudest, most enthusiastic individual. I realized that I don’t need to change who I am to be a leader, I just need to become more confident with the skills that I already possess.
Leadership Practice:
I’m really passionate about education and hope to become a high school math teacher one day. For my leadership practice, I’m in training to become a FIG leader in the fall. I’m going to interview past FIG leaders, freshman FIG students and inspirational instructors in order to compile a portfolio and plan to be the best educator possible in the future.
