Leadership Practice:
I am harnessing what I have learned about networking and professionalism to find a position shadowing, volunteering, or working with a physical therapist. I have been compiling a list of physical therapy clinics and contacts so that I have an organized chart of phone numbers when I am ready to make some calls. I have already called several clinics, but most of them have called back saying that their positions have either filled or their clinic is not set up for that. Where I have found more success, however, is networking through the Theta Xi alumni. I have found a person that is in the doctoral program at UW and he has offered to connect me with faculty and help me find a position.
