(2013-2014 Mentor) Savannah Ledgerwood

Savannah Ledgerwood

Greetings and salutations. My name is Savannah Ledgerwood and I’m a junior studying psychology and diversity at the marvelous University of Washington. In my academic life I conduct research in Stereotypes, Identity, and Belonging Lab through UW’s psychology department. By day I work as a campus tour guide and a receptionist at the Office of Admissions to fuel my funds for Indian food and all things lavender-scented. To fulfill my interest in fostering leadership opportunities for my fellow undergraduates, I am a First Year Interest Group Leader through which I teach a class of 21 first year students about all the beautiful prospects of UW and the greater Seattle area. UW Leaders introduced me to a loving community which I’m happy to call my college family. I also co-founded a registered student organization with three fellow leaders I met in via this program! I never thought I would be able to say that I helped to create an awesome student club and feel close to fifty undergraduate students here at UW. I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of this close-knit community and I’m so excited to get to know all the new leaders of the most remarkable program here at UW! Go Dawgs!
