2014-2015 Mentor Adam Khan

Adam Khan

Salutations! My name is Adam Khan, and I’m studying Political Science and International Studies, with Interdisciplinary Honors as a sophomore here at UW. Academically, I have explored my interests by serving on the editorial boards of both the Jackson School Journal of International Studies and the Washington Undergraduate Law Review, where I am the executive editor. I have also done research at Oxford University, and work in the Odegaard Writing and Research Center as a consultant. I also intern with the King County Sexual Assault Resources Center, monitoring cases for victims of sexual assault, child abuse, and domestic violence in order to generate helpful information for victims involved in the legal process. Right now, I spend most of my time interacting with residents in my immensely fun and rewarding job as a resident adviser, and of course, studying.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess, reading, eating copious amounts of pho and Thai food, volunteering (of course!), and traveling. I really enjoy contributing to the community that I have benefitted from so much, and as a student who has not participated in UW Leaders yet, look forward to what the next year in the program will bring
