My name is Kevin and I hail from Wenatchee, Washington, an oasis along the Colombia river east of the Cascades. I’m a Junior majoring in International Studies with emphasis in global health and I’m also pre-med! I’m passionate about global health as an application of social justice, politics, and research to clinical medicine. I love exploration, learning languages, photography, and navigating new cultures. I lived in Belgium for a year to learn French and I spent the summer in South Africa for a clinical internship. Seattle and the University of Washington, however, holds a special place in my heart for the amazing communities that exist here.
My freshman year I found the ASUW through the Senate and UWL, and it’s been my home on campus ever since. I’ve served on countless committees, sat on the Board of Directors as the Senate Vice Speaker, and I’m beginning my third year of ASUW employment as the Student Senate Speaker. When I’m not studying or in the ASUW office I volunteer at Swedish Medical center and attend French club. On the rare occasion I have free time I love going to shows! I’m always down to explore new music, so let’s grab coffee, show me a new artist that you love! Looking forward to meeting you and to a dope year!
